MyCityBuddy advertisement on CityPlus
MyCityBuddy carried out its first public advertisement campaign on a new and upcoming local newspaper called city plus. There will be more to come, but here’s three cheers to the first one!
One for all, all for Bangalore one?
Its a singular achievement and rightly so. And though the project was delayed, its now up and running, firmly establishing Bengaluru’s credentials, one-up, so to speak, as the Silicon City of India in using technology for citizen good.
In a single line, the mission of the BangaloreOne or B1 project has been “to be the One-Stop-Shop for all C2G interactions”
To acheive their objective, the
B1 Project seeks to redefine public service through its focus on the common man. The vision of the B1 Project is “to provide to the citizens of Karnataka, all G2C and G2B One-Stop services and information of departments and agencies of Central, State and Local Governments in an efficient, reliable, transparent and integrated manner on a sustained basis, with certainty, through easy access to a chain of computerized Integrated Citizen Service Centers (ICSC’s) and through multiple delivery channels like Electronic Kiosks, mobile phones and the Internet “.
A couple of days ago, the first of the Bangalore One centres was inaugurated in Indiranagar. Here are some pictures as captured by your friendly neighbourhood buddy:

MCB in Business Today
Well, we totally understand now what that stylish dude, Don Johnson from Miami Vice, a TV series of yore meant when he quoted thus:
” It’s a joy to be recognized and to have people that are interested in what you do. That can pick up your whole day.”
Here’s a small recognition of us in the latest edition of Business Today.

A footnote it might appear but in its vindication of our existence & objectives, we consider it as a giant step! From being subtle with MyCityBuddy to turning emphatic - we’ve just undergone a transistion. You’ll see & hear more of us as we roll out, with renewed energy, our services aimed at total customer satisfaction during this year.
Stay tuned!
A rose is a rose is a rose
Ms. Gertrude Stein sounds rather emphatic, doesn’t she? And who are we to argue. Heaven hath no fury like a woman scorned, they say and so, we shall brook no argument.
And since we’ve just broached the topic of roses in our previous post, did you know that we in namma Bengaluru have a fabulous Rose Garden to enjoy? Head here (courtesy: bangalore.metblogs.com) to check it out.
On the same subject, did you know that Bengaluru is also a, er, hotbed of rose production. Apparently, “…….Southern India’s floral corridor spreads from Hosur in northwestern Tamil Nadu to neighbouring Bangalore. Nearly 50-odd farms, growing roses on hundred of acres of land between Hosur and Bangalore, are besieged with orders for this Valentine’s Day from as far as Europe, Australia and Japan.” We see you turning your rose..er, nose at the claims above. Check out this report.
Before we put a stop to all these flowery claims, we (actually this author, but no telling who!) is left sighing over another quote about roses that he wishes were true.
“The sweetest flower that blows, I give you as we part. For you its Rose, For me it is my heart.”
With all due apologies to the honorable Frederick Peterson, was he refering to Ms. Rose aka Kate Hudson in the Titanic?
